On Saturday we woke up to 30 degrees and blue skies. We put on our coolest outfits and stroll up the alleys towards Marais.
Till we get here, Ofr, which was thanks to one of you! Thank you for the recommendation <3 Ofr is a book store/concept store selling porn for creatives. Beautiful layouted magazines and table books, that is. We go through every corner of the shop and drool. I had a hard time letting go of the Chloé Sevigny book, but had to be realistic with my one carry on I brought.
After a lunch at a thai restaurant and some shopping on Rue de Rivoli we walk to La Perle. A very *hip* bar in Marais. It was hip when I was in Paris for the first time in 2009, so I don't know how hip it is anymore? Anywho, the mojitos were tasty.
A little tipsy we walk home and take a nap before putting on black outifts and red lips.
We were all matching, obviously.
My girls looking freshhhhh. We took maybe a hundred photos in front of the jaw dropping view. All of Paris painted in gold.
Mayan baby <3
After our photo shoot we walk up to Candelaria, a taco spot in Marais that has a hidden bar in the back. We open the door that looks like being part of the wall and enter the dark paradise where they serve ice cold cocktails that tastes like a mix of christmas and an exotic island. It's great.
Jay joins us and we go next door to the Gyoza bar. We order heaps of dumplings and have a discussion on how to pronounce edamame. The dumps are made in front of us and they taste like little pieces of heaven. All of it being washed down with ice cold Kirin.
When we finish our first round we want to order more, but apparently it's already midnight and they're closing the kitchen. A little disappointed we pay our bill and walk back to Candelaria to get some tacos instead.
We drink some Mexicali and make new friends with our table neighbors.
After a while we say adiós and walk down to Rue de Temple and some random bar where they serve massive Cosmopolitans. We get drunk and talk future jobs and cities to live in. Everyone longing for different places and agencies. When we've finished the cosmos/beers/whiskeys it's time to go home. The cab drives fast across the Seine and ten minutes later we make our way up to the apartment.
Living in Paris is something that feels more and more intriguing. If only they weren't so stuck up about their language... I guess it's about time I learn some French. Au revoir!
