Last week, or actually the week before that too, my mom and brother were in town. On the Friday I escaped the office as soon as I could and went into H&M and bought a new dress to slide into. My light blue shirt that I had been wearing the whole day was proof enough for the heat.
I met up with them at their hotel in Soho and freshened up real quick before we hit up the closest rooftop for some Aperol Spritz'. There is something special spending time with just one parent. I understand that many family constellations always means one parent at the time, but for me who constantly get them in a pair really appreciated it.
When we were perfectly tipsy in the insane heat we took a cab to Lower East for dinner at the Italian restaurant Bacaro. It quickly made it onto my list of favorite restaurants in New York, so if you're in town - hit it up! The only thing I could think of when I was there was that it's the perfect date spot. Candle lit, dark, cosy and the food is delicious. Will def get you into their pants. I'll try it this weekend and report back to you.
Jesper and I continued the night in Williamsburg where we met up with some people at a bar and then went dancing to Bruno Mars which is a bummer, but sometimes you don't get it right.
